Netopi is a way to add and read reviews of any website: An item in an online shop, CNN's article, hosting company offer... and it doesn't matter whether a possibility of leaving a review is or is not given by the owners of those websites.If you're running a Firefox extension, simply visit some website to see its reviews.
If you are using a desktop version of Netopi:
When the application is running, it's watching Firefox and Internet Explorer windows, and every time you visit a website
Netopi displays reviews of this website as well as enables you to add your own opinion.
So, right now you can switch to Firefox or Internet Explorer, open any website and see the result in this window.
The opinions are stored in a central database, not related in any way to the owners of those websites, and so, they are under no control of the owners. You can use the "Active" checkbox to turn on/off Netopi activity.

If you want to display reviews of given url on your own website, or create another
Firefox extension, then implementing Netopi will be very easy for you: the url schema is:
http://www.netopi.com/show.php?url=website_url_you_want_to_show
for example:
http://www.netopi.com/show.php?url=http://www.google.com
or:
http://www.netopi.com/show.php?url=http://www.google.com/search?q=netopi&btnG=Search
As you can see the & and ? characters (or any other character) should not be converted to html entities.
